A statement embroidery hoop is a beautiful and simple way to compliment your work of finish of a gift. My hoops are covered the iconic Liberty's of London, Tana Lawn Cotton. This inspiration board features one of my current favourites. They are hand finished to order and are available here.
This board features the adorable Strawberry and Cream printed fabric by Liberty of London.
'Inspired by a Liberty print dating from 1965, this sweet pattern conjures the laziness of warm sunny days. Small delicate strawberries and their flowers are arranged in a trailing repeat, coloured in fresh contrasting hues.
'Strawberries and Cream' is part of the Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
DMC Stranded Cotton is made in France and are my favourite Embroidery Threads. They are both strong and have a beautiful sheen. The 6 easily divisible strands allow you to vary the weight of your stitches allowing a great versatility.
The painter in me loves the fact that there are over 500 colours allowing me to paint with threads.
In this inspiration Board I have limited myself to five complimentary colours.
This pallet contains the following colour threads:
3801 - Melon (Very Dark)
602 - Cranberry (Medium)
3840 - Lavender Blue (Light)
912 - Emerald Green (Light)
3837 - Lavender (Ultra Dark)

Kona Cotton Fabric
And finally this pretty mood board is completed with a complimentary, Kona Solid colour number 1234. This colour is called Mint and is a light, fresh green.
Kona cotton is a range of cotton made by Robert Koferman. I love this collection an is has over 365 glorious colours in the range so there is a colour for every project ( or mood-board ) Because there are so many colours to choose from they are perfect for embroidering on and quilt making.
I would love to hear what you think.
