- My hoops come with an Optional wooden Back: I created and launched my game-changing wooden hoop backs in 2017. I designed them so the back of your hoop can also have a neat professional finish. My backs are designed to be permanently glued to your hoop with textile glue.
- My Embroidery Hoops are Liberty Fabric Covered: I primarily use Liberty Tana Lawn Cotton to cover my hoops. Tana Lawn was a natural choice for various reasons. They offer a huge variety of colours and designs, and the high thread count gives my hoops their flawless, pristine finish. Liberty’s history is entwined with the Arts and Crafts movement in the UK, and I am honoured that my hoops can be found in their flagship Regency Street store.
- I always use a Wooden Base Hoop (NOT BAMBOO): My wooden hoops are a far higher quality than the flimsy bamboo hoops you will find elsewhere. Because of their sturdy nature, they will keep your fabric taut, ensuring you can use my fabric-covered hoops as a working frame as well as a decorative frame.
- My hoops add an extra Touch of Creativity To your project: My hoops add the final layer of creativity and personality to your project. Hunt among my stash of colours and prints to find a hoop that makes your project sing
- Your project will be Ready to display in Minutes. Framing your work in a hoop is a very easy and fast way to get your project finished and hung. It will instantly add a lovingly handcrafted feel to a picture wall or bookshelf.
- They are Perfect for Gifting: Pop your gift in a hoop, finish with a wooden back and gift wrap!
- My hoops are Artist Made for Artists: My Hoops are hand-finished and made to order in my Artist studio on the south coast of England. Each of your orders is greatly appreciated. I truly love being part of your creative process.💕
About Strawberry Thief
Strawberry Thief is one of William Morris's most popular repeating designs and is synonymous with the Arts and Crafts movement. The design was first printed by Morris in 1883 and was inspired by the Thrushes boldly stealing fruit from his kitchen garden.

Do I need a 'Wooden Back and Glue?'
I designed my innovative hoop backs to solve a problem. Select the 'With Back' option for a fast and fuss-free way to finish off the back of your project
Once you have finished attaching my backs to your hoop, it will not only look neat and cover all your unsightly threads, it will also make your work feel more protected and lay beautifully flat on the wall when it comes time to hang.
My Hoop Backs are designed to be permanently attached. If you select the 'with Glue' option, you will be sent a Gutterman textile glue. Use this to secure your project to the hoop and /or the wooden back. You can glue my backs on with any craft glue, but I like using Gutermann Textile Glue. This glue dries nice and slowly, giving you plenty of time to secure your fabric to the hoop and position the back before the glue sets.
A tutorial will be sent with your order or follow this link to see how my Hoop Backs work.
Which size embroidery hoop should I choose?
My hoops are available from a mini 3-inch hoop right up to a large 12-inch embroidery hoop. Simply select the hoop size appropriate to the size of your project and the fabric you are stitching on. Hoops are measured across the diameter of the embroidery hoop, from the inner edge of the outer hoop. When framing embroidery wall art, I like to leave around an inch between my stitching and the hoop.
Framing embroidery hoop wall art?
Embroidery hoops are a fantastically easy way to create your own wall art. Simply secure your work or decorative fabric of your choice within the hoop and hang it on the ribbon of your choice. All my hoops come with an easy-to-follow framing tutorial.
